How does the floating disk actually stop spills?
The inner platform raises the water level inside the bowl, leaving only a narrow drinking channel around the rim. When your dog lowers their snout to drink, the water surface is too low to splash over the edge — regardless of how fast or enthusiastically they drink.
What's actually different about the with-mat version?
The standard bowl has a non-slip base that grips most floors well. The with-mat version adds a larger silicone mat that extends around and under the entire bowl — it creates maximum grip on any surface and prevents the bowl from moving even under sustained pushing from large dogs.
